Sinds 1999 zet 'Going Underground'Aalternative, Underground en Unsigned muziek in de spotlights dmv nieuwe releases, interviews, livesets, sessies en live-opnamen. 'Laagdrempelig', 'open' en 'liefde voor muziek' zijn de uitgangspunten.

Lokale acts als Eefje de Visser, Maurits Westerik (Gem, Mint), Handsome Poets en Desiree Coumans (Nona), maakten in dit programma hun radiodebuut. Maar ook landelijke acts als Suburbs, Klerkx & The Secret (Moke), Anneke van Giersbergen (Agua d'Annique, ex-The Gathering), Theo Sieben en Rats On Rafts waren hier te gast.

'Doorgeplugd':
Sinds september 2000 maakt 'Going Underground' in samenwerking met geluidsstudio/oefencentrum 'Plug Unit' in Reeuwijk maandelijks radio onder de naam 'Doorgeplugd'. Hierin staat een lokale of regionale band die daar oefent of heeft opgenomen centraal.

Uniek binnen het lokale omroep-bestel zijn de geregeld te beluisteren interviews met internationaal bekende bands als Alabama Shakes (USA), Gavin Friday (EIRE), Hugh Cornwell (UK, ex-The Stranglers), Coco Rosie (USA), Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (JP), David Eugene Edwards (USA, Woven Hand, ex-Sixteen Horsepower), Penny Rimbaud, (UK, ex-Crass), The Delays (UK), Super Furry Animals (UK), Supergrass, British Sea Power en Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten, ex-Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) en promosessies met o.m. Little Trouble Kids (B), Johnny Dowd (USA), Steve Savage (USA), The Arkanes (UK) en dB Band (UK, ex-Supergrass, -Swervedriver, Julian Lennon Band).

Leo Hoek van Dijke (1969) groeide op met legendarische popprogramma’s als Toppop en Veronica’s Top 40, tot hij in de tweede helft van de jaren 80 de gebaande muzikale paden verliet en zich op minder mainstream muziek stortte.
Hij recenseerde voor het blad Opscene, was columnist voor het blad van lokale club De Gonz en schreef voor de officiële fansites van Supergrass en Sixteen Horsepower. Deed tussendoor demoproducties en is vanaf het begin de drijvende kracht achter het programma. Daarnaast is hij recensent voor Live XS magazine en zat in de vakjury voor de Grote Prijs van Zuid Holland.

Since 1999 'Going Underground' puts Alternative, Underground and Unsigned in the spotlights by airing new releases, livesets, sessions and live recordings. 'Accessible', 'Open Minded' and 'Passion for music' are basic ingrediënts.

Besides breaking local acts debuting in the program, nationwide acts like Anneke van Giersbergen (Agua d'Annique, Tex-he Gathering), Bettie Serveert, Solex and Rats On Rafts visited the studio.

'Doorgeplugd':
Since september 2000 'Going Underground' coöperates with recording studio/rehearsal center 'Plug Unit'in monthly shows called 'Doorgeplugd' (Plugged through). Every show focusses on a local or regional band rehearsing or recording there.
